    Principle

As a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), we are committed to strictly complying with the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct as well as the RJC Code of Practices, with particular regard to the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Gold, Diamonds and Gemstones.

We strive to maintain long-term, trustworthy relationships with all of our business partners and expect all partners to comply with these guidelines. Most of our long-standing suppliers are also certified. This status is regularly reviewed and updated as part of our risk management process. New business relationships are assessed strictly in accordance with the Know Your Customer (KYC) principle.

    Guidelines

The following guidelines form the basis of all our business relationships and are regularly reviewed within the framework of our risk management system.

    • Compliance with human rights in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), including the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
    • We source only diamonds that comply with the strict requirements of the Kimberley Process. Furthermore, we ensure that we do not source gemstones or precious metals from conflict-affected or high-risk areas and therefore do not tolerate any direct or indirect support of non-state armed groups.
    • We do not tolerate the use of forced labor, child labor, harassment or abuse in any form.
    • We do not accept torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment under any circumstances.
    • We expect strict compliance with all legal requirements regarding remuneration and working hours.
    • We expect compliance with freedom of association and freedom of expression.
    • We expressly affirm that the role of public or private security forces is to protect employees, facilities, equipment and property in accordance with the rule of law and guaranteed human rights. We guarantee that we do not provide direct or indirect support to public or private security forces that violate these provisions.
    • We expect our business partners to ensure the health and safety of their employees in the workplace.
    • We exclude any offering, promising or demanding of bribes and oppose all forms of bribery or corruption. We also do not engage in or tolerate money laundering or the financing of terrorism. The verification of origin information is subject to strict review with regard to accuracy and fraud.
    • We expect our suppliers to comply with national laws and to respect and observe international regulations and recommendations issued by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the areas of environmental protection and sustainability, particularly in relation to the use of natural resources.

Should violations of these guidelines be identified during the review of our supply chains, we reserve the right to terminate the business relationship with immediate effect.

A report on our risk assessments and due diligence systems is published annually on our website.
